My heart is a creamy centre encased in a smooth shell... Just so you know.

The sparkling red packaging slips off the sensuous egg with ease, allowing a golden brown shine to emanate against the now silver backdrop.

The little egg in between my fingers slides a little with the body heat pressing against the soft outer casing; and the moment my lips meet the deity that is the Lindt Lindor mini egg it serenely melts into a flood of the creamiest and most milky chocolate upon this world.

"Divine," he said as his eyes closed in passion of the taste. "It is a sweet for grown-ups; I would buy these for myself" Uncaring that they are created in the spirit of an Easter gift. These covetable little rubies are under £2 a packet at a supermarket near you.

The flood seeps down my throat and coats my insides with its wondrous flavour. It is over quickly, a short burst in just a few seconds, not even a minute. They are so small that you need three to make a bite size, and the moreish consistency will give you the taste for chocolate without settling your newly founded craving.

My perfect remedy to this cheeky flaw would be the Lindt bunny. :3

I wait all year for these entities to hop onto the shelves, a little expensive; a decent size is going to take £3/4 from you... But the sacrifice is worth the soothing melt of quality chocolate. When the first ripple dances upon your taste buds you will be chasing those rabbit down the street, flinging coins in all directions to hunt them to extinction.

I read somewhere the other day that Scientists have found if you think about eating a chocolate cake then you are more likely to stay slimmer than a control group as it eases cravings. It is as though the imagination can feed you physically of desire (not of nutrition, don't try, if you think you can go anorexic then try some Lindt, it will hurt too much to try and starve if you knew you could never eat this chocolate again.)

However, if I think about eating one of those little but creamy, ovaline beauties that is a Lindt Lindor mini egg... I also think of running up the stairs tearing open the present I just wrapped for my boyfriend and eating the entire 30 strong treasure trove I know is just waiting...

PS: DO NOT eat after flavoured rice. It will depress you.

Zelda: Spirit Tracks.

Warning: I do not know or understand the gaming world or culture. I am a novice in love. Forgive me, agree with me, laugh with me but not at me.

I do not own and have rights to any image used. Thanks to images.google.com they are not here. Mwahaha.

Game: ZELDA; spirit tracks.
Platform: Nintendo DS lite.
Status: Completed except for final battle.

Link is in his Windwaker form; cute and chibi, and gets a train to travel with. Not as cute and interactive as a talking boat or a horse but what are you going to do? You travel to the castle and meet Zelda, who then convinces you to sneak her out the castle to go see a tower where an evil creature resides.

¬_¬ Yes, what a fabulous idea, Zelda.

In previous arcs, Zelda was worthy of the wisdom triforce, but there is little mention of the pendant in this game. Good thing really with the stupidity and annoyance brought on by Zelda.
Zelda is then separated spirit from body and Link agrees to assist her in getting it back; to do so you need to travel and vanquish demons in temples, yatta yatta, bla bla... you can always rely on the same story line.
Saying that, I will never bore of this storyline. :3

The intriguing inclusion of the DS platform is the microphone. Which, I found, as a 21 year old sitting next to a friend quite embarrassing but children would love it. There is usually an instrument in Zelda, in spirit tracks it is panpipes, using the stylus to move the panpipes side to side you have to blow into the microphone to play it. Fun, but as I said, a little embarrassing for a 21 year old to do. There was also a point where I had to speak, wish I found that bit when I was playing alone. But the good friends I have thought it was great and we all were speaking utter nonsense into it! Some of the items and weapons you use will also require the microphone to use.

Be prepared to travel back and forth a lot. There are a few minor missions where you have to pay attention to the train signs along the tracks. And there is an excellent side game, such as golden skultulla in ocarina of time, and the market stall in windwaker, which is catching rabbits. :3

When you get bombs and have visited the rabbit rescue centre to obtain the net (after first temple) you are able to blow up rocks that rabbits hide behind and then using the stylus you try and catch them. I probably catch them on a fluke, you get 10 seconds to try and net them but they move quickly and the net drops slowly. All in all it is fun and when you take them back to the centre you can run around and find all of them. ^__^

The temples are short; there is no need for compass and map chests so you just have to figure out all the clues and riddles to obtain whatever object you need. Once the object is found the next door pretty much leads you to the master key and the boss door. There are often shadow hands trying to steal your key in each of the temples. Some are easily ran past, others are not.

After each temple you have to return to the Tower from the beginning of the story and obtain the next part of the map. This tower is like a mini dungeon each time you enter, and it is also what makes spirit tracks partly unique. I say partly because it is where you are able to control Zelda, you are able to control character others than link in other games (mind control in Windwaker) but she can attack, which is new and fun. Link is vulnerable whilst you try and 'draw' a path for Zelda, and she is a complete moron, being easily knocked off course if you do not draw the line neatly away from a wall. But with a bit of practise with the stylus it gets easier and is quite fun.

This game is completely suitable for little ones, it tells the story of Zelda a few generations after windwaker, and the characters are as amusing as ever. A little different to how I normally play but when you get into the story it is impossible not to love Zelda.

The final battle, as usual, has three parts, the first part was annoying when I didn't quite realise I was meant to be throwing bombs in his face and just kept trying to get out of the way instead and then dying- thus having to repeat a few times :( otherwise it was fun. The second was easy but trivial and I am yet to complete the third, although I was THIS CLOSE!!!! ¬_¬ I will kill that damn demon. Mark my words; his belching rocks will not kill me THIS time!

^__^ Have fun falling in love.

commitment problems

I think I have commitment problems.

Not just the fact that I can’t abide the same company for more than a few hours at a time but also with everything else; blogging a prime example.

I keep telling myself and others that I _will_ step up to the bar and keep a regular blog, but the last post if off my remembered dates of a calendar. I can’t seem to find a true motivation to keep it going even though I have so much that I think of I want to share and converse about.

I cannot truthfully say that I just ‘forget’ about my blog as I do look at my handy quick link on my internet bar almost every day thinking I should write an entry. Neither can I say I do not have the time as I do, it is pretty much the point of my life to find the time to write it and I do have spare time in which I think and analyse in my mind.

However, no matter how much I think about when I am in front of Microsoft word when that blank white space opens up in front of me my mind mirrors the connotation. I can hear the echo of failure in my head and I fear it that I just don’t even open the page sometimes and then repress the idea that I have to do this. It helps the physical emotion, but the inward feeling is left numb and guilty.

Unfortunately I tend to ramble a lot when I feel I am being forced to fill a word quota. This blog is for me and for my expression but it has become something I feel I am judged on. No-one reads it though so I don’t understand where this fear comes from.

They say that to admit a problem is the first step to deal with it and make it leave you, but I admit lots of my problems to myself, I even try to talk them out. Yet I have them all and they double as I have admitted I have them and so I constantly think I have them.

I am lost. This is my cry for help. I want someone to encourage me; I want someone to love me.

dreaming away reality

I have done what i always do and run away from the truth I admit to myself. I said i must search my soul and find what I truly want to do with my life, and that I would record it here so that I could look at my progress and have soemwhere that was forcing me to contunue towards such a goal. but I haven't. I ran from responsibility, again, just like I always do.

This is me trying again, this is me trying to accomplish something finally. This is hope.

I dream nearly every night, and my friends laugh and marvel at how my dreams always seem to have plots and stories and fully formed ideas (strange and twisted albeit). I had a lucid dream last night, but the lucidity came from the emotion I felt, and I awoke with such a longing for that pure emotion. I wrote what happened but I have yet to find the time to sit and write it with the same emotion, to really put in what I felt in those moments.

I will do it, soon, but here is the first copy.

In the dark bar I could just hear the mumbling of conversation around each table. I walked to the silver mirror to the left of the bar counter and felt a presence. I was called to a table, away from the mirror. I caught the eye of Jared, his brooding eyes and straight mouth made my head swim. But then the smoke in the room thickened and I heard the conversations numb.

There was an echo against my chest and something whispered into my ear, my feet no longer felt solid ground and my eyes opened to the gasps in the room. The ceiling was inches from my nose but I felt no fear, I dropped slowly, my back to the black mirror to the right of the bar. The fearful glances at me contrasted with the sweet embrace I could feel against the mirror. I raised my chin to fall back on to a shoulder to who wasn’t behind me; I felt arms that weren’t there fold themselves around me. A laugh flowed out from behind the black mirror, “she’s mine.”

I felt like I was swung and the ceiling was in front of me again and then I dropped with no safety hand on me. The floor didn’t hit me before I felt real arms catch me though, a strong muscled chest pulled me in, a cold kiss on my forehead and I felt no more.

martial arts weapon review: Jo staff

The jo staff is usually 52 inches in length and made from wood. Of course you can get the performance graphite models that are extremely lightweight to manoeuvre but the power of a wooden weapon is incomparable.

Holding a weapon in your hand gives you a sense of power, but when it feels like a broom handle do you still have that influence?

The answer is a most definite yes. Just holding it the way you would carry a weapon safely from your home to training will give your posture a boost that unconsciously moves people away from your path.

But what about the way it moves, the way it feels when you swing it towards an invisible target?

Similar to that of a sword the jo staff is held at one end at; swiping at the enemy target with the edge or jabbing with the other end. Although the size and blunt end shape makes it more comfortable to use the ‘blade’ as it were.

Is it a singular weapon or can it be doubled up?

To counter the length weight it is necessary to grip with both hands, so the jo would become your shield as well. It would be near impossible to execute attacks with enough power only holding with one hand, so unless you were to use it more like a bo staff with hand in the middle you could not use it alongside another weapon simultaneously. Even then you would be compromising the power and accuracy of attack.

However even though it is 20 inches shorter than the bo it is still a long staff that can easily be held similarly in the middle and protect two sides.

Weapon factor: 7/10

Trollbeads: My Friends.

I first heard of Trollbeads over the phone from my excited Mum telling me about this beautiful new bracelet that is the new charm bracelet and that everyone was after them. I had rolled my eyes at the time, I am a PR student and I had never heard about them. After all it was just some pretty jewellery; a passing craze as most things are.

It was two weeks later when my 20th birthday brought my parents to university to visit me and presented me with a very quaint little box cleverly designed to fold itself shut, tied up with ribbon and containing a purple silk bag. When I opened this bag I pulled out a snake like chain of silver that slithered over my fingers with the feel that only quality metal can give. It did not pinch like some chain links did; it was as silky as the bag it came in.

I have always been quite girly and love shiny things but there was something different with what I held in my hand. The two beads sparkled in the March morning light that escaped though the rain drenched windows. Hypnotised as I was by my first debut bracelet I managed to accept another box from my parents containing “neither fish nor fowl,” an adorable bead which either looks like a fish or a chicken head from different sides.

Two more boxes were produced after this as presents from my Nan. Inside these was a sweet rainbow striped glass bead and a silver “happy fishes” Piscean bead (my birth sign). I was told that my Mum, aunt, Sister and cousins had all received their debut bracelets too, so that we could all share in the joy, but I was the only one with a spring birthday so I was the only one to receive gifted beads from my Nan.

In mid April 2010, my Nan passed away; she was very special to all of us. It is hard to imagine living without her throwing the odd insult or laughing along with us, but I look at my Happy Fishes bead and know that she is still laughing and chasing our tails with the remarks and cheeky comments that she has always given. When I feel a little lost and lonely in the day my beads remind me to continue, and that I have a lot of family, a lot of friends, right there with me on every step.

But do not begin to believe that Trollbeads are there to help you get started again, that they have to be sentimental beings that warm your heart. Sure they do that but they can do so much more.

I had saved up for a while and wanted to treat myself, so I bought a second bracelet and decided that this would be to document a very special journey for me. I had recently joined martial arts early the previous year and was already on my third belt.

My mother, Sister and I bought a coloured glass bead: white steel, yellow steel and an orange armadillo to represent each belt colour, I also have the silver N to signify it is my journey, and the lucky dragon, the cutest bead of a delicate silver dragon that wraps around the bracelet. He is large enough for two bead spaces, but his face smiles so warmly, even if you are not someone who has loved dragons all their life you will fall for this bead. It is also a bead that I have in common with my Mum and Sister’s bracelets.

Living an hour away from home does leave me stranded as I have no transport of my own, email and phone calls are ok but it’s nothing like a real hug or a smile from the people you love. Sharing something as sweet as a bead that has such character as the lucky dragon does help at times to know that I will see them soon, and to remind me how lucky I am to have them in my life.

Trollbeads are just silver, gold or glass beads, yes they are handmade and watching the videos that My Trollbeads have on their Facebook page of how they are made shows how much skill and care goes into each one. But I know that not everyone will care that this is done, and that there are replicas. But there is something ethereal about Troll that no other jewel has got. Every bead contains a heart, individuality, a meaning, a sense of existence.

If you haven’t started your journey, if you haven’t begun this exquisite relationship then get online or down to your local stockist to do it now. Beks Designs in Launceston are passionate and enthusiastic and will give you the time to help you find that perfect bead for the day.

If you have started this journey and love your beads as much as I do, then get down to your stockist and buy a bead to celebrate the magic that we wear on our wrists.

We might not be able to take material possession to the next life but what is the point of living for tomorrow if we can’t enjoy today!
